Lorraine Cottages, Bed & Breakfast & Self-Catering

The unit currently available consists of a bedroom with two beds, an ensuite bathroom with a separate shower/bath, a large open plan lounge/dining room kitchen and a patio with braai facilities.

Weekend special for R1000 per person, excluding flights

Take advantage of the very reasonable deals offered by 1-Time and Kulula. Fly to Cape Town International Airport on Friday, where you will be brought to Lorraine Cottages. After breakfast, we will take you to the Slow Food Market, where you can taste all sorts of wonderful foods like olives, cheeses, spreads, etc. You will be given R100 to buy ingredients for supper, which we will prepare for you with a complimentary glass of wine or beer or soft drink. In the afternoon, we will take you on a wine tour.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast on Sunday. You can then choose one of the many tours on offer from Simonsberg Tours, or design your own, before we take you back to the airport.

* Helshoogte Pass: connects Stellenbosch and Franschhoek, built in 1854
* Many wineries: including Stellenbosch Farmers Winery, Vergelegen and the Van Rijn Brandy Centre
* Stellenryck Wine Museum: Making wine through the ages

* Wiesenhof Game Park: Nice to take a drive in the early mornings or late afternoons.

Lorraine Cottages are five kilometres from the centre of Stellenbosch and three kilometres from the nearest Superspar, which stocks everything needed for a break in the country.
