Hostal El Palenque

The hostel El Palenque is located on the street Church of the fishing and port town of Casilda. This small town is located 5 km from the city of Trinidad and is formed mainly by fishermen due to the proximity to the sea. It is also only 8 kms from Ancón beach and the main diving areas of the south coast of Cuba. El Palenque hostel is a modern building where 2 spacious air-conditioned rooms are rented, one of them on the first level of the house and the other on the second, each with a maximum capacity for 3 people. Both rooms are very well prepared to guarantee the comfort of the clients that are reserved in them because they have wall fans, windows and minibar stocked with soft drinks, beers and sealed mineral water. Each room has its private interior bathroom, with permanent cold and hot water service; besides having the necessary elements for personal hygiene such as soap, shampoo, towels and toilet paper. From the terraces of the second and third level you can enjoy unrepeatable views of the Escambray mountains, the town and its surroundings.
The hosts, Marilu and Mario, are people with experience in working with tourists since they are workers of the Hotel Ancón with more than 20 years uninterrupted, working with bartender and chef. For the house, at the request of the guests, they prepare excellent gastronomic offers, in particular the dish of the house that is La Mariscada. They also prepare delicious homemade sweets and Creole foods. The hosts also prepare excursions and fishing from canoe to river, with taxi ride from the house with an average duration of the 4-hour ride. The landline of the house can be used free of charge for local calls and to contact the next destination.
